Best pitches in National League Centr Boston Red Sox Custom Jersey al

Most Major League pitchers can consistently bring velocity into the 90-95 mph range and have an assortment of secondary pitches in the bag of tricks. But fewer of them have that one pitch.

You know that one pitch. It’s the one that consistently baffles hitters or has them looking already defeated in the batter’s box. It’s that pitch that breaks bats and has the opposition analyzing video for any sign of weakness.

It’s just plain special, and everyone in the ballpark knows it.

In other divisions, that one pitch could be Shohei Ohtani‘s split-fingered fastball, Aroldis Chapman‘s triple-digits heater or Kenley Jansen‘s cutter.

Pitchers in the National League Central have some filthy pitches, too. Here is a closer look.

Brewers
The pitch:
Josh Hader‘s fastball

How he throws it: Ha Personalized Red Sox Jersey der keeps it pretty simple. It’s a two-seam grip, but his arm path makes it harder for opposing hitters to pick it up right away.

How he uses it: Because he’s a reliever, Hader is a two-pitch guy. The handful of changeups you see in his pitch mix are almost all sliders that might have been mischaracterized and were misclassified. So to make that awesome slider extra effective, Hader must be ahead in the count, and he gets ahead with the fastball. He did that with maximum success for a save vs. the Reds on Monday, throwing 2 2/3 innings and becoming the first pitcher to ever notch eight strikeouts in an outing of less than three innings. Of the 37 pitches he threw, 28 were fastballs that averaged 93.7 mph, according to Statcast™.

Gif: See Gif

What they say about it: “Growing up, my dad always told me a fastball is a good pitch to have,” Hader said. “He said you have to master that pitch if you want to be a pitcher. Being deceptive with my mechanics helps me out a lot. It helped that fastball look a little bit better and get on them a little bit quicker.”

Video: Hader discusses how he developed his fastball grip

Cardinals
The pitch:
Jordan Hicks‘ sinker

What it does? Also known as a two-seam fastball, the pitch from the 21-year-old Hicks is objectively the hardest pitch in baseball this season. The rookie owns the highest velocity pitch of 2018 — 102 mph — thrown on Tuesday vs. the White Sox, and nine of the fastest 12.

“If you’ve got it, flaunt it,” Cardinals manager Mike Matheny said.

Gif: See Gif

The downside of Hicks’ heat is that he has lower whiff rate, plus hitters are attacking the sinker early in counts now. The force with which Hicks throws the pitch makes it hard to control. In the last 14 days, the righty has walked 24.1 percent (seven of 29) of batters, according to Inside Edge. That’s third worst among qualified pitchers.

What they say about it: “I looked at [catcher] Yadier Molina after my swing and said, ‘Oh, man, good to be young again,'” Mets third baseman Todd Frazier recalled after striking out in Hicks’ big league debut. “That’s not fair. What the hell’s that about?”

Cubs
The pitch:
Yu Darvish‘s curveball

How he uses it: Sparingly. Everyone know Darvish has a big curveball — almost an eephus pitch — but he keeps it in his back pocket most of the time in favor of the fastball, slider, cut fastball, split-finger and changeup. So, hitters know he can throw a curve, but can’t sit on it because it rarely comes their way. According to Statcast™, before his start on Wednesday, Darvish had thrown his curveball 2.8 percent of the time (14 total), and has thrown it 13 times when he’s ahead in the count, and eight times when he has two strikes on a batter. He’s thrown 10 curves vs. left-handed batters.

Gif: See Gif

“I was never expecting him to throw that pitch,” Brewers catcher Manny Pina said Friday, when he struck out on a 64-mph Darvish curveball. “He just threw that one all day, right? I was ready for a two-seamer in or a slider away, and he threw me that.”

What they say about it: “I’m not surprised that Pina was surprised, because of the rarity with which he throws the curveball,” Cubs pitching coach Jim Hickey said. “It was effective because it was a little bit of an ambush, if you will. I think it could be an effective part of his repertoire. For me, personally, we’ve been trying to simplify it a little bit, just by doing a little bit less better versus trying to work six pitches into the mix. There’s certainly a spot for the cur Custom Red Sox Jersey veball. There have been times in his career when it was his put-away pitch.”

Pirates
The pitch:
Felipe Vazquez‘s changeup

How he throws it: It’s a two-seam grip, which is interesting because the triple-digit fastball Vazquez is known for is a four-seamer. Back when he was a young Rays prospect still named Felipe Rivero, he learned the grip from Jorge Moncada, a former Minor League pitching coach with the Rays. He hasn’t changed it since.

Gif: See Gif

What it does: It falls off the table. The pitch clocks in about 10 mph slower than his fastball but faster than the slider and curveball that round out the closer’s four-pitch mix. So far this season, his changeup has averaged 87.4 mph. Two years ago, there was a 2 1/2-week stretch in August when hitters swung and missed at every single changeup he threw. This year, hitters are whiffing on 55.6 percent of Vazquez’s changeups, batting .182 with a mere .273 slugging percentage against the pitch.

Reds
The pitch:
Raisel Iglesias‘ slider

What it does Since converting from a starter to closer a couple of seasons ago, Iglesias’ fastball has picked up velocity and can hit 97-98 mph. It makes his 84-86-mph slider even harder to handle for hitters, especially right-handers with two strikes. That’s because he can throw it from three or four different arm angles. It comes at them like a fastball before breaking hard, and can produce some pretty flimsy swings — like in the video below from Iglesias striking out Manny Machado last season.

Video: BAL@CIN: Iglesias fans Machado to end the frame

What they say about it: “When right-handed hitters are up there and he’s throwing sliders to them, he gets some weird swings, some weird looks because of how nasty it is,” Reds catcher Tucker Barnhart said. “You can tell by swings and how guys react to the pitch. If it’s down the mi Boston Red Sox Custom Jersey ddle and guys are bailing out of the way or guys are taking, you get a pretty good idea that guys aren’t seeing it well. And when it starts out as a ball, and gets swings and misses, it just shows how good the pitch really is.”

Brett Phillips returns to Boston Red Sox Custom Jersey Brewers with a plan

CINCINNATI — Brett Phillips doesn’t know what the future holds, but the Custom Red Sox Jersey Brewers outfielder knows what he needs to improve on in order to stick in the Major Leagues.

“Last year, I struck out a lot,” Phillips said. “As long as I’m getting on base, somehow, some way. It’s something I’m trying to hone in on. Putting the ball in play with two strikes, just giving the team a chance.”

Phillips was recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Tuesday and went 0-for-2 in Wednesday’s 3-1 Brewers win over the Reds at Great American Ball Park. This is his second stint this season with the Brewers after being with them on four separate occasions last season.

Phillips struck out 129 times in 383 at-bats with the Sky Sox last season and fanned 34 times in 87 at-bats with the Brewers. Yet he batted .276 with four home runs and 12 RBIs in 37 games with the Brewers and .305 in 105 games at Colorado Springs. The potential is there.

Video: Top Prospects: Brett Phillips, OF, Brewers

In Spring Training, Phillips competed for a spot on the Opening Day roster with Keon Broxton, but a loaded outfield left little room for the 23-year-old. So far at Triple-A this year, Phillips has fanned 23 times with 16 walks in 66 at-bats.

He understands his time in the Majors could be brief, but the uncertainty has been the most difficult thing for the Brewers’ No. 5 prospect, per MLB Pipeline.

“I don’t know how long I’m going to be here,” Phillips said. “I don’t know the situation. It’s kind of tough when you don’t know what the future plans are for you. For me, it’s about being where my feet are.”

Phillips has appeared in four games this season for Milwaukee, going 1-for-10 at the plate. Should he be sent down again, it would be his seventh time being sent there over the past two seasons.

“When you get to the big leagues, your roster spot is not guaranteed,” Brewers manager Craig Counsell. “You feel like a lifelong dream is accomplished, and when it gets taken away, it kind of shatters it. After six [times being optioned], we don’t have to have the conversation.”

Phillips doesn’t appear to be discouraged, however.

Just as Counsell finished answering a reporter’s question, Phillips Boston Red Sox Custom Jersey surprised everyone when he emerged from underneath the dugout bench, where he’d been hiding the whole time, directly below Counsell.

“That’s a great answer!” Phillips exclaimed. “I was going to ask the same question.”

Wade Miley solid in debut as Crew Boston Red Sox Custom Jersey edges Reds

CINCINNATI — A groin injury late in Spring Training gave Wade Miley more time to refine some mechanical adjustments he needed to make to improve his command. On Wednesday night, he finally got the chance to put them to use on a Major League mound.

Miley allowed one run on three hits in six solid innings in his season debut, and Christian Yelich homered, lifting the Brewers to a 3-1 victory over the Reds and a three-game sweep at Great American Ball Park.

“It was Day One, and we won,” Miley said. “Any time we win, I’m happy. I’d called it effectively wild. I’d like to be sharper, but I made the pitches when I needed to.”

Miley, who started the season on the disabled list and made three rehab starts at Double-A Biloxi before being activated, retired the last eight batters he faced. He walked three and fanned four over 97 pitches to earn his first victory since Aug. 27. Miley also collected an infield single in the fourth inning, his first hit since May 10.

“He pitched extremely well tonight,” said Brewers manager Craig Counsell. “He fell behind some hitters, but he kept them off balance. Length was important for us tonight. His six innings were needed, for sure.”

The Reds managed only four hits on the night.

“Miley was really good,” said Reds manager Personalized Red Sox Jersey  Jim Riggleman. “I’ve seen him a few times, and that’s the best I’ve seen him.”

As they had in the previous two games of the series, Milwaukee scored first, with Jesus Aguilar reaching on a single and scoring on Orlando Arcia‘s two-out single off Reds first baseman Joey Votto‘s glove in the second.

Miley walked Reds third baseman Eugenio Suarez to begin the fourth, and Suarez later scored on Devin Mesoraco‘s one-out double to tie the score at 1.

“That was one of the only balls that was stung [off Miley],” said Counsell.

The Brewers regained the lead when Yelich launched a 3-1 changeup off Reds starter Luis Castillo deep into the right-field seats to lead off the fifth. It was Yelich’s third home run of the season and first since April 22.

Milwaukee added an insurance run in the eighth, with Hernan Perez scoring on a potential double-play ball off the bat of Manny Pina, who was safe at first on secon Men’s Authentic Custom Stitched Boston Red Sox Alternate Baseball Jersey Red d baseman Alex Blandino‘s throwing error.

Brewers third baseman Travis Shaw left the game in the second inning after sustaining a right foot contusion on a foul ball while batting in the top of the inning. Perez took over at third base. Ryan Braun also left in the sixth due to a right calf problem that has been bothering him. Both are expected to be fine for Friday’s series opener against the Pirates at Miller Park following an off-day on Thursday.

Jeremy Jeffress pitched two innings to earn his second save of the season and extend his scoreless streak to 12 1/3 innings, capping off the Brewers’ first sweep of the Reds since April 24-26, 2017, at Miller Park.

“I live for those moments,” said Jeffress. “I didn’t expect to go two, but until they tell me I’m not pitching, I’m focused on going back out there. To get a series sweep picks up everybody’s spirits.”

X-rays were negative, and he’s not expected to miss any time following Milwaukee’s off-day on Thursday.

“I couldn’t push off it or run, so I wasn’t going to be of much use,” Shaw said. “I’ll be fine.”

Angels prospects lead Tuesday’s top performe Custom Red Sox Jersey rs

Here’s MLB Pipeline’s roundup of the top prospect performances in the Minor Leagues on Tuesday.

Here’s MLB Pipeline’s roundup of the top prospect performances in the Minor Leagues on Tuesday.

Michael Hermosillo recorded the eighth cycle in Triple-A Salt Lake history and matched his career high with six RBIs, highlighting a Tuesday slate that saw several Angels prospects put up big numbers across the Minor Leagues.

Hermosillo, the Angels’ No. 10 prospect, struck out swinging in his first trip to the plate before rattling off hits in his next four at-bats to complete his cycle and lead the Bees over Fresno, 13-9.

After singling in his second at-bat, Hermosillo picked up his first RBI in the fifth inning when he plated David Fletcher (No. 23) on his fourth triple of the season. The 23-year-old outfielder then put Salt Lake ahead for good in the sixth, connecting on the first grand slam of his career  Men’s Authentic Custom Boston Red Sox Home White Baseball Jersey Sale — with two outs, nonetheless — and sealed his bid at the cycle in the ninth with an RBI double to left field.

Hermosillo’s 4-for-5 performance was his third multihit performance in his past five games and boosted his overall slash line from .244/.343/.430 to .275/.365/.516. He’s homered four times in 23 games this season while totaling 15 RBIs and 18 runs.

David Fletcher, the Angels’ No. 23 prospect, also had a big game for the Bees, going 2-for-2 with a home run, two walks, two RBIs and four runs scored out of the leadoff spot. After nearly cracking the Angels’ Opening Day roster, the 23-year-old infielder has opened the season hitting .370/.422/.600 with 37 hits, including three home runs and eight doubles, in his first 23 games. He’s also hit safely in 14 straight.

Meanwhile, at the Class A level, Angels No. 5 prospect Brandon Marsh enjoyed his first multihomer game in Burlington’s loss against Dayton. The 20-year-old outfielder drilled a pair of two-run shots to the opposite Boston Red Sox Custom Jersey field in his first two at-bats before finishing 3-for-6.

The Angels’ second-round pick in 2016, Marsh owns a .315/.414/.534 slash line, with three home runs and 15 RBIs, through 20 games in his first full-season campaign. He’s collected 12 hits in his past seven games, highlighted by five multihit efforts.

The rest of the best performances from top prospects Tuesday

No. 8 overall prospect Fernando Tatis Jr. (Padres’ No. 1) turned in his finest offensive performance of the season, going 3-for-5 with solo home run and two doubles as Double-A San Antonio hammered Frisco, 20-4. The 19-year-old shortstop also reached once via a walk, scored three runs and tallied two RBIs. The three-hit effort was Tatis’ second this season and snapped him out of a 2-for-21, six-game slump.

No. 28 overall prospect Juan Soto (Nationals’ No. 2) went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer as Class A Advanced Potomac edged Wilmington, 6-5. The homer was Soto’s second in seven games with the P-Nats as well as his seventh this season. Overall, the 19-year-old outfielder is slashing .348/.459/.742 with 17 extra-base hits, 31 RBIs and more walks (20) than strikeouts (15) in 23 games spanning two levels. On the mound for Potomac, right-hander Wil Crowe (No. 8) worked 5 2/3 frames of two-run ball to record his fourth win in five starts.

No. 46 overall prospect Justus Sheffield (Yankees’ No. 3) turned in his finest outing of the season for Double-A Trenton, tossing six scoreless innings with nine strikeouts in game one of a doubleheader against Portland. He matched his season highs in both of the aforementioned categories, and did so while allowing three hits and three walks. He sports a 2.25 ERA through five starts, with 39 strikeouts and a .163 opponents’ average in 28 innings.

Sheffield’s ninth strikeout

No. 54 overall prospect Keston Hiura (Brewers’ No. 1) appears to be heating up for Class A Advanced Carolina. The 21-year-old second baseman connected on his second home run, a two-run shot, and finished 2-for-5, though it wasn’t enough to keep the Mudcats from falling to Myrtle Beach, 5-4. He’s hitting .247 on the season, thanks in part to four multihit performances in his past six games.

Hiura rips a homer

No. 59 overall prospect Dylan Cease (White Sox No. 5) allowed a leadoff single, but retired the next 19 batters en route to completing a career-high seven scoreless innings of two-hit ball for Class A Advanced Winston-Salem. The 22-year-old right-hander also set a career high with 12 strikeouts — and did so while hitting triple digits with his fastball. He threw a season-high 101 pitches, 74 for strikes, and did not issue a walk.

No. 77 overall prospect Stephen Gonsalves was lights-out in his season debut for Triple-A Rochester. The (Twins’ No. 3) prospect allowed just one hit in 7 2/3 scoreless innings. He issued one walk and struck out five, throwing 55 of 92 pitches for strikes in the stellar outing. The 23-year-old lefty received a promotion to Rochester after going 3-0 with a 1.77 ERA and .167 opponents’ average in 20 1/3 innings (four starts) with Double-A Chattanooga.

Gonsalves finishes strong

Astros No. 22 prospect Jonathan Arauz came a triple shy of hitting for the cycle, finishing 4-for-5 after hitting a grand slam and a single as part Class A Quad Cities’ nine-run first inning in a 15-2 victory over Great Lakes. The 19-year-old shortstop lifted his average from .243 to .278 with the season-best four-hit performance, and he’s connected on both of his home runs in the last three games.

Arauz hits a grand slam

Mets No. 4 Personalized Red Sox Jersey  prospect Peter Alonso‘s three-run home run in the top of the ninth inning proved the difference as Double-A Binghamton rallied to defeat Akron, 7-6. The 23-year-old first baseman owns a nine-game hitting streak, with home runs in five of his past six games. He leads the Eastern League in all three triple-slash categories (.400/.500/.788), home runs (eight), hits (32), runs (20), total bases (63) and walks (16).

Alonso goes yard

Orioles No. 9 prospect Keegan Akin hurled six innings of two-run ball and set a career high with 12 strikeouts, the most by a Double-A Bowie pitcher since August 14, 2007 (Radhames Liz). The 23-year-old lefty allowed two hits and three walks in the outing while throwing 65 of his 97 pitches for strikes. Austin Hays (Orioles No. 1, No. 23 overall) backed Akin’s effort with a solo shot, his fourth home run of the season.

Akin’s 12th strikeout

Tigers No. 10 prospect Christin Stewart stayed red hot as he homered in a second straight game for Triple-A Toledo. The homer, a two-run shot, gives the 24-year-old slugger an International League-leading five home runs in Custom Red Sox Jersey 22 games this season. It also extended Stewart’s hitting streak to six games, during which he’s raised his average from .200 to .312.

Travis Shaw and Jesus Aguilar hit back-to-back home runs in the first inning, and Ryan Braun added a two-run double in the fifth, to spark another big night for a Brewers offense that came into the series struggling.

“We’ve had consistent at-bats regularly through the order the past couple days,” Shaw said. “We made a conscious effort to lock it in offensively after the last series.”

Hernan Perez added a solo homer off Amir Garrett in the seventh, his third, helping Milwaukee (18-13) take the first two games in the series after being swept by the Cubs and scoring only two runs in four games at Wrigley Field.

Chase Anderson (3-2) allowed four runs over 5 1/3 innings and earned the victory on Tuesday, despite not having his best stuff. He walked four, but the bullpen helped him out.

“I was battling my command a pretty good amount,” Anderson said. “I didn’t have any fastball command. I was fighting my mechanics. A win’s a win. Go on to the next one.”

Shaw who was 2-for-24 on the road trip coming into the game, crushed Homer Bailey‘s 3-2 changeup into the right-field seats for a two-run homer.

Two pitches later, Aguilar belted his second home run of the season to make the score 3-0, giving the Brewers their fourth set of back-to-back homers this season and first since April 20.

Video: MIL@CIN: Shaw, Aguilar go back-to-back in the 1st

Five of the Brewers’ runs on Tuesday night came with two outs.

“The home run was the story tonight,” Counsell said. “We did enough offensively tonight, for sure.”

The Reds (7-23) answered with three runs in the bottom half of the first, two coming when Eugenio Suarez belted his third home run of the season on Anderson’s first pitch to tie the score at 3-3.

“There’s going to be nights like that,” Counsell said of Anderson. “You’re not going to have your best stuff every night. He maybe got a little tired in the sixth, but he did a nice job.”

Video: MIL@CIN: Anderson K’s Duvall to end the 2nd

Bailey (0-4) retired 10 of 11 before the Brewers produced more two-out lightning when Braun doubled in two runs in the fifth to put them ahead 5-3.

Hader was unavailable coming off his historic eight-strikeout performance on Monday night, so the Brewers had to rely on other arms to hold the lead.

The Brewers led 7-5 when the Reds’ Alex Blandino lau Men’s Authentic Custom Boston Red Sox Home White Baseball Jersey Sale nched his first career home run to lead off the eighth inning against Milwaukee reliever Jacob Barnes.

But, Jeffress came on to put out the fire. He pitched 1 2/3 innings to earn his first save since July 31, 2016. Jeffress also extended his scoreless streak to 10 1/3 innings.

“That’s a hard thing to do, strike out Votto in that situation,” Anderson said. “J.J.’s been amazing. He’s been kind of the unsung hero for our season so far.”

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
Jeffress works out of jam: For the second straight night, the Brewers retired Votto in a key spot. On Monday night, it was Hader striking him out swinging in a one-run game. On Tuesday, Jeffress did the trick, this time with runners on first and third in the seventh. Jeffress fanned Votto on four pitches, the last one a called strike on a 96 mph four-seam fastball. Jeffress then got Schebler to ground to Braun who made a bare-handed flip to Jeffress for the final out.

“He made a nice bare-handed play,” said Counsell. “He was aggressive to the ball. J.J. is a good athlete and was able to get over there.”

MITEL REPLAY OF THE DAY
Perez hit a liner to left leading off the seventh against Garrett that bounced off the top of the wall and back on to the field. The call on the field was a home run. The play went to a review and was confirmed, giving the Brewers their final run and a 7-4 lead.

Video: MIL@CIN: Perez homer is confirmed after review

Reds left fielder Adam Duvall was involved in a pair of replay reviews in the fifth inning. In both instances, the call on the field would stand. The second ruling was to the benefit of the Brewers.

The Brewers thought they had picked off Duvall at first base for the first out, but the replay official ruled there wasn’t enough evidence to overturn the call on the field.

Then with two outs, Anderson picked Duvall off second. The Reds challenged the call, but the call would stand, ending the scoring threat and preserving the Brewers’ three-run lead.

Left-hander Wade Miley is expected to come off the disabled list to make his Brewers debut in Wednesday’s 6:10 p.m. CT contest. Miley was in line to join the Brewers out of Spring Training before injuring his groin fielding a bunt in the final week of camp. He is 3-2 in seven career starts against the Reds with a 3.68 ERA. “I had two Spring Trainings, so to speak,” Miley said. “I started feeling good a week after I left Arizona and got to Biloxi. But it’s a process. I knew I had to build back up. I was just a little antsy. We kind of slow-played it, but they played it right.”

Miley is scheduled to make his Brewers debut on Wednesday night when he faces the Reds in the finale of a three-game series at Great American Ball Park.

He went 1-1 with a 3.09 ERA with Biloxi, including six shutout innings and 11 strikeouts in his final outing Friday.

“The third (rehab start), I pretty much felt like I was commanding four pitches and moving it back and forth,” Miley said. “The one before, I was having a little trouble locating. I was throwing strikes, just wasn’t throwing quality pitches and there was damage.”

Miley, a former All-Star and Rookie of the Year candidate with the D-backs in 2012, is looking to bounce back after posting a 5.48 ERA in 323 1/3 innings over the last two seasons with the Mariners and Orioles. He issued a Major-League worst 93 walks in 2017.

“He walked a really high number of guys last year,” Brewers manager Craig Counsell said. “That’s the mechanical thing he had to address in the winter. He addressed it. That question really was answered during his first bullpen.”

His Spring Training numbers wer Men’s Authentic Custom Stitched Boston Red Sox Alternate Baseball Jersey Red e a bit skewed by one outing, ironically against the Reds, when he allowed seven earned runs in three innings, otherwise he had a 2.12 ERA in his other five appearances, including four starts.

“He had a good Spring Training,” Counsell said. “If he didn’t get hurt, he was going to make the team.”

To make room for Miley, the Brewers designated for assignment right-hander Oliver Drake who last pitched on Saturday in Chicago. Drake was 1-0 with a 6.39 ERA in 11 appearances, skewed by his outing on April 16 when he gave up six earned runs against the Reds in an inning.

“He’s probably had nine very effective outings,” said Counsell. “With the roster and the bullpen, we’re kind of out of moves. Unfortunately, it’s Oliver.”

Miley is 3-2 in seven career starts against the Reds with a 3.68 ERA.

“Mechanically, I feel like I’m in a good spot,” Miley said. “A lot better than I was. Just excited to get back out and compete at this level. Hopefully, I can fill in and take off. No hiccups, just keep it going.”

No Hader of history:
Brewers left-hander Josh Hader was still basking in the glow of his eight-strikeout performance on Monday night, the historical significance of which he didn’t become a Custom Red Sox Jersey ware of until hours afterward.

Hader was the first pitcher in modern Major League history (since 1900) to produce as many as eight strikeouts in a game in fewer than three innings pitched. He retired eight of nine batters faced via strikeout and issued one walk over 2 2/3 innings in the Brewers’ 6-5 win.

Hader said he was inundated with text messages and calls from friends, family members and well-wishers.

“There definitely was a lot of love,” Hader said.

The last pitcher to record a save with more than eight strikeouts was Randy Johnson on Aug. 13, 1996. But that was a four-inning save. Only one other time has a pitcher faced no more than nine batters and fanned eight. On May 4, 1981, Ron Davis of the Yankees got a three-inning save against the Angels and threw three perfect innings with 8 K’s. Hader is also the first pitcher to record eight or more outs with all of them coming via strikeout.

“I didn’t really know it was that crazy,” Hader said. “It’s an honor. Those guys are some of the best ever. That’s what I strive for, to be as good as those guys one day. I just strive to be the best I can be every day. Just stay within the moment.”

Hader had the baseball from the final out hidden in his locker under his glove on Tuesday, but had yet to get it authenticated.

Counsell was at a  Personalized Red Sox Jersey loss for words, less than 24 hours later. “I’ve run out of superlatives,” he said.

After his dominant 2 2/3 innings Monday, Counsell said Hader is unavailable to pitch in Tuesday’s game.

Roster moves:
Brewers outfielder Brett Phillips was recalled Tuesday from Triple-A Colorado Springs, and right-hander Brandon Woodruff was optioned back to Triple-A.

“It gives us another position player here,” Counsell said. “Brandon wasn’t going to pitch today. We’ve got a bunch of right-handers coming up. Kind of a live roster spot.”

Phillips batted .288 in 21 games for the Sky Sox. It’s his second stint this season with the Brewers.

Injury updates:
Right-hander Corey Knebel is expected to make his first rehab start for Double-A Biloxi on Thursday. He’s on the disabled list with a left hamstring injury. Counsell said he’ll make three or four rehab starts.

Catcher Stephen Vogt, on the DL with a right shoulder injury, will play for Biloxi on Wednesday.

SW China bamboo a rising star in Custom Orioles Jersey paper-making industry

The bamboo that grows in Southwest China’s Sichuan province is famous for Customized Baltimore Orioles Jersey being pandas’ favorite food, but humans have increasingly turned to the plant for toilet paper and paper towels.

Last year, Sichuan produced 1.1 million tons of household paper from bamboo, equivalent to about one-tenth of China’s total paper production for household purposes, according to the Sichuan Paper Association.

With moist air and fertile soil, Sichuan has been a paradise for bamboo groves. The province is home to over 1.1 million hectares of bamboo forests, about 70 percent of which can be used to make bamboo pulp and paper. Making paper Custom Orioles Jersey from bamboo can reduce the logging of traditional pulpwood such as fir trees, pine trees and cottonwood.

“China lacks forest and timber resources, but is rich in bamboo. Expanding the use of bamboo is important to promote the paper-making industry,” said Wu Hejun, chairman of Sichuan Yong Feng Paper Industrial Co.

“Toilet paper, napkins and facial tissue made with bamboo pulp are soft yet Custom Red Sox Jersey strong and bacteriostatic, so they are quite popular on the market,” Wu said.

The success of bamboo paper in recent years has been partly due to pandas, Sichuan’s most famous residents.

By using bamboo fibers in the animal’s feces and food debris, “panda poop” paper products, usually adorned with pictures of the black and white bear,Men’s Authentic Custom Baltimore Orioles Alternate Baseball Jersey Orange became online best-sellers last year.

A roll of toilet paper made from panda excrement sells for 25 yuan ($4) on Boston Red Sox Custom Jersey  Taobao, while three boxes of paper napkins cost 129 yuan.

Pandas have become brand ambassadors for bamboo paper products, driving

Last November, sales revenue of bamboo paper manufactured by Sichuan Qianwei Fengsheng Paper Company, producer of the panda poop paper, surpassed 3 million yuan within three hours on Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com.

In the first two months of 2018, the company’s sales volume surged by 50 percent to 110 million yuan, compared with last year.

“To a resource-dependent company like us, the bamboo pulp paper industry is green, ecological and sustainable. It will not damage the environment but promote it,” Yang Chaolin, president of the company said.

Yang added that bamboo usually has a lifespan of 50 to 100 years and can only continue to grow when people cut down the old bamboo, and it grows much

China is a big paper user and producer. According to the China Paper Association, China produced 9.2 million tons of household paper in 2016, up 4 percent from a year ago. Consumption of household paper during the same period was 8.5 million tons, a yearly increase of 4.5 percent.

The process of traditional paper-making often consumes a huge amount of water with chemicals and bleach, posing a threat to the environment.

“Natural color bamboo paper doesn’t need to be bleached, so it uses fewer chemical products during the production process,” said Zhou Xiang, general
Men’s Authentic Custom Boston Red Sox Home White Baseball Jersey Sale manager of Yashi Paper.

The rise in bamboo paper sales also benefits local farmers. Wang Wen, 43, is one of 38,000 bamboo farmers in Muchuan county, which boasts 533,000 hectares of bamboo forest.

“Bamboo was sold at just 50 yuan per ton in the 1990s. Now it has soared to 600 yuan,” he said. Now one-third of farmers’ annual income in the county comes from bamboo.

A new road leading to his bamboo forest has just been finished, helping him transport the crop out.

“I hope to expand my bamboo forest in the coming years to make more money,” he said.

Trump defends school safety plan that Custom Orioles Jersey doesn’t include raising age to buy guns

President Trump defended his “action” plan on school safety Monday, claiming that the White House’s newly unveiled proposals aimed at curbing gun Custom Orioles Jersey violence in the wake of last month’s Parkland, Fla., massacre are “moving rapidly” — and saying he will take a wait-and-see approach to increasing the minimum age to purchase certain firearms.

“Very strong improvement and strengthening of background checks will be Customized Baltimore Orioles Jersey fully backed by White House,” Trump tweeted early Monday. “Legislation moving forward. Bump Stocks will soon be out. Highly trained expert teachers will be allowed to conceal carry, subject to State Law. Armed guards OK, deterrent!”

“On 18 to 21 Age Limits, watching court cases and rulings before acting,” the Custom Red Sox Jersey president continued. “States are making this decision. Things are moving rapidly on this, but not much political support (to put it mildly).” Trump, as president, could try to rally political support behind the measures.

But Trump has remained focused on his argument that some school faculty
